The grossest food trend no-one asked for – omelette bars are a thing and they have a shelf life of a YEAR

IF you’re a fan of eggs then listen up, as there’s about to
be a whole new way to eat an omelette.

You may think there’s only one way to cook and eat the eggy
snack, but that’s about to change with the invention of
Scramblers bars.

You can now eat an omelette on the

A
Kickstarter
campaign has launched to secure the £11,570 needed
to get the bars off the ground.

With more than £10,000 pledged and nearly a month to go, we
could be seeing these bars on supermarket shelves in the near
future.

Described as ‘the original omelet bar’, they come in three
different flavours – bacon and cheese, feta and spinach and spicy
chicken sausage.

And the company has claimed its bars have a 12-month shelf life,
despite not containing anything artificial or preservatives.

Describing how, the Kickstarter campaign explains: “Almost as
if by magic, Scramblers bars keep for up to 12 months without
refrigeration or chemical preservatives.”

So if you forget about a bar at the back of the cupboard, it’s
not a problem.

They’re made by individually heat-sealing each bar in an
air-tight tray, which can then be eaten at room temperature or
heated up in the microwave.

And Scramblers said they are “surprisingly moist”.

They’re trying to use pasture-raised organic eggs,
“superior” to other types of eggs on the market.

Their list of achievements goes on, with the bars said to be
keto-friendly, “clean-label and shelf-stable”, as well as being
low-carb.

They said: “One of the most original, innovative snacks in
years, Scramblers bars are fully cooked, omelet-inspired breakfast
bars.

“We use top-quality, transparently-sourced ingredients, like
Organic, Pasture-Raised Eggs and Grass-Fed Ghee.

“We know how crazy mornings can be and how limited are the
great tasting and healthy on-the-go options.”

People can pledge their support for the idea, and you can be
among some of the first people to try the bars if they get
funded.

And if you have £385.27 ($500) spare, Scramblers will even
throw your office a party.
