The trend has already taken off in Australia where cocktail makers are mixing them with a range of different alcohol.
Stoned Crow in Sydney served their take on the drink with two part gin, one part lime juice, soda and of course the avocado, giving it a smooth and whipped texture.
Another swanky drink spot, Market Grounds in Perth, created its own avocado cocktail for £10 ($17 AUD).
Both have since removed the drinks from the menu as they were limited edition seasonal offers, MailOnline reports.

But restaurants like Javelina in New York City and Melrose Umbrella Co. in Los Angeles are still offering their version of the drink, according to Pure Wow.
Avocado cocktails can also be made at home, with plenty of online recipes for creating anything from an avo margarita to a creamy green mojito.
In December Marks and Spencer started selling stoneless avocados, dubbed the “cocktail avocado” – but they were only available while stocks lasted.

On Valentine’s Day food stylist Colette Dike shared an image of an engagement ring hidden inside an avocado where the pit should be inviting followers to ‘Tag someone who should propose like this’.
More than 10,000 people liked the post including follower shylilannie who said: “Nothing would make me happier than someone putting a ring in an avocado and proposing to me! Hahaha you better have my back and tell a dude for me!”
