There may be a few reasons why a bowl of homemade soup is one of
the most comforting things to eat in the winter. Maybe that it’s
seasoned just how you like it. Or that the vegetables aren’t
exactly the same size, some small and slurp-able, others still al
dente—all delicious. Or it could be that you’ve made a big batch
of it, and that reassuringly full pot of goodness is still on your
stove, ready and waiting for second and third helpings.
And that’s exactly what we need at this time of year, right?
When we’re scrambling to find the perfect presents and writing
greeting cards and hopping from
holiday party to
holiday party—it feels so good to hunker down with a big mug
of soup and
a pile of blankets. It’s the sippable self-care we need for
this hectic season.
